Editorial Review: Product Description: DT DYNRLR PROF Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Decent tool for the moneyRolls nicely and has held up to ongoing use. In addition to Dynamat material, it can be used for rolling other things, like laminates. It doesn't have real bearings, but so far that doesn't seem necessary. I think this is a better buy than the cheaper one. Rating: - Definitely worth the extra moneySoundproofing material only works when it is able to dampen the resonances and vibrations which allow noise to penetrate into your enviromnent. This rubber roller flexes and molds better to force the sound-deadening material into direct contact with the texture and contour of your project. I used this in conjunction with a heat-gun to really press the Dynamat into every nook and cranny. My car sounds like a totally different vehicle now. Definitely does a better job than a wood roller, and saves ... Read More Rating: - Must have.Would definitely recommend this for installing Dynamat. Worked great, not sure what else someone would use to apply the Dynamat to a cars sheet metal. With all the ridges and curves, definitely need to use a lot of pressure to form the Dynamat and get it to stick. The rubber was a bit more firm then I was expecting, but that let me use the edge of the wheel on corners and indentations in the trunk. The roller is just a rubber wheel on a steel sleve on the axle, no ball bearings or any significant upgrades from the basic wooden one. I would highly reccomend this over the wooden one given the complaints of the wooden one sliding over the dynamat instead of gripping and rolling. Rating: - Smushes things better than a wrestler with a rolling pinThis works fairly well for making sure that the Dynamat is securely pressed against the surface, with no little air gaps that reduce its effectiveness. The rubber roller creates enough friction with the surface to stretch it into place, which is essential for working out the little gaps and air bubbles that reduce the effectiveness of the Dynamet. The handle is plain wood, and I think a soft rubber grip would be better. It isn't very comfortable to hold. I think it is a ... Read More |
